People

We will contribute to improving the lives of ten million people by 2030. That’s a tall order, but we have real plans.

    • We’ll support HanesBrands associates, and those of our suppliers, through a broad range of programs including education, health & wellness and diversity and inclusion.
    • We’ll support our communities focusing on the themes of Comfort, Inclusion and Health. We’ll encourage our associates to average at least eight volunteer hours a year.
    • We’ll increase the number of people of color at the senior management level and above in the U.S. to 25% by 2025.
    • We’ll maintain and grow the number of women at senior manager level and above to 50%.

    • A 50% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions,

From using less packaging to using more sustainable cotton – it’s not just what we make, it’s how we make it. By 2025, we aim to:

    • Reduce packaging weight by 25%.

    • Eliminate single-use plastics in our product packaging. Any that does remain must be commonly recyclable or compostable.

By 2030, we aim to:

    • Use 100% sustainable cotton and 100% recycled/biodegradable polyester in all HanesBrands products. We define sustainable cotton as U.S. and Australian grown, organic, recycled or sourced through reputable sustainable cotton certification programs.

All reduction goals are off of a 2019 baseline.
