OUR BRANDS

IN ACTION

We have a clear purpose: We are creating a more comfortable world for every body. And it starts with our iconic brands.

For more than 100 years, we’ve delivered outstanding apparel with unmatched value and style. And our brands lead the way in helping to ensure that our planet is more comfortable today and for future generations, including support for young people and the homeless, as well as helping to strengthen our communities and encourage our consumers to reduce emissions by reducing waste.

Hanes
Hanes

Everyone knows Hanes. When you make it into 9 out of 10 American households, it gives you a lot to be proud of — and thankful for.

And we are grateful to the world that has given us so much. It’s why we’ve been paying it forward for over a century. Promoting sustainable materials and social causes is no burden to us, or some flashy campaign — it’s who we are.

From our products, which have turned hundreds of millions of plastic bottles into groundbreaking new fabrics, to our work for the homeless which has seen millions of products distributed to our most vulnerable, we’re in this for the long haul.

A snapshot of the work our brands are doing to progress sustainability

3 Million Socks. 3 Million Masks.

Limitless hope.

For the homeless, a little comfort can mean the world. And a little kindness can change it. But there’s a long way to go and our Hanes Sock Drive is just getting started.

Socks are one of the most desperately needed donations. In partnership with over 350 amazing local organizations, we’re bringing a little relief to those who need it most.

We added a million face masks to the 3 million pairs of socks we’ve donated since 2009, but it doesn’t end there. We’re busting myths about homelessness and helping to create a community we can all belong to.

Bonds & Red Nose

The only baby clothing approved by Red Nose for a safer sleep.

We work in collaboration with Red Nose Australia to create safer sleepwear for babies and infants.

Together, we launched Wondercool, the only baby clothing approved by Red Nose for a safer sleep. Made with innovative thermal cooling fabric designed to adapt to your bub’s natural body temperature, Bonds Wondercool works wonders to help ensure they aren’t too hot or too cold for better quality sleep.

Berlei & BCNA

Supporting Australian women with breast cancer.

Berlei has been a proud partner of Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) since 2005. To support Australian women who have undergone breast cancer surgery, we distribute free post-surgery bras and important information to assist their journey.

These gifts, called the My Care Kits, have been provided to over 220,000 women since the program began.

With the help of BCNA, and in consultation with women treated for breast cancer, Berlei’s post-surgery bras have been thoughtfully designed for those undergoing lumpectomy, mastectomy and radiation treatments.

Sheridan SleepSafe

Helping Australians sleep safe.

Over 116,000 Australians don’t know where they’re going to sleep tonight. We want to give them something to hold onto.

Together with our charity partner StreetSmart, we established SleepSafe to raise funds to support people who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.

Every $15 raised helps to provide a sleep kit to someone in need. Each sleep kit contains one towel and one sheet set — a flat sheet, fitted sheet, and pillowcase.

Sleep kits are manufactured in partnership with our suppliers. StreetSmart works closely with frontline community partners, ensuring kits are distributed where they’re needed most. Not only does this provide financial relief, it also allows for funding and donations to be diverted to other areas of need.

We understand that homelessness won’t be solved overnight, but with over 169,000 sleep kits provided since 2019, we’re in this for the long haul.

Planet Comfy

The home of all-things sustainability for Bonds, Planet Comfy aims to educate and inform our consumers on all the things we’re doing to be kinder to people and the planet. Learn more.

Sheridan & Plastic

We’re doing something drastic about plastic.

At Sheridan, we’re actively working to reduce our environmental impact.

One of the biggest things we’re targeting is PVC. In fact, since 2019 we’ve removed over 175 tons of PVC from our packaging – that’s over 175,000kg of plastic waste that won’t be going to landfill.

To achieve this, we’ve begun using alternatives like fabric bags, cardboard boxes, and ribbon and card design instead.

Millions of Plastic Bottles Saved Per Year

We’d call that a good start.

Tackling the single-use plastic crisis is going to take teamwork.

If plastic bottles aren’t going to end up in landfills or the ocean, they need a new place to be. So why not our clothes? We call it the EcoSmart® range. From the softest socks to the hoodies we love, you’ll find up to 5% recycled polyester from plastic bottles.

We might be tackling global problems, but we’re doing it by paying attention to the little things. In this case, hundreds of millions of them.
