The information, goals and targets presented on hbisustains.com, including any public filings, statements, or press releases, were prepared prior to the acquisition of HanesBrands by Gildan, which closed on December 1, 2025. Such information, goals, and targets may be modified and reconsidered by Gildan in light of the acquisition.

MEET THE TEAM

This is a brief overview of the HBI sustainability team and their collective commitment to our People, Planet and Product.

Teddy Mendoza

Global Sustainability Officer; Winston-Salem Office

As Global Sustainability Officer at HBI, Teddy Mendoza leads the company’s global sustainability strategy, bringing 24 years of experience in environmental sustainability and social impact within the apparel industry. Teddy is responsible for advancing HBI’s 2030 goals across People, Planet and Product, ensuring sustainability is deeply aligned with business strategy. Teddy serves on the Board of Delivering Good in the U.S. He holds an MBA in International Management from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge, and is currently pursuing a Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership at Cambridge. Driven by a deep passion for social and environmental impact, Teddy is committed to creating meaningful change across the apparel industry and beyond. 

Sheree Maguire

General Manager, Sustainability – Australasia; Melbourne Office

Sheree Maguire leads the sustainability function for the Australasia region, responsible for the implementation of HBI’s global sustainability strategy and embedding sustainability within each of the region’s brands and businesses. In her 10+ years with the organization, she has held a number of roles, including internal audit, risk management, compliance and CSR. Sheree contributes to industry through various committee roles, including the Australian Retailers Association Sustainability Advisory Committee and the Australian Cotton Sustainability Reference Group. Sheree earned her Bachelor of Business from Monash University Australia and is a certified Chartered Accountant.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Minh

Senior Manager, Global Environmental Sustainability; Vietnam Office

Nguyen Minh leads sustainability, compliance and engineering and Higg FEM engagement in Asia at a global level. In her 10 years with the organization, she has helped to develop and strengthen compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement systems in Asia, as well as drive Higg FEM implementation in internal and contractor facilities globally. Minh earned her Energy Economics bachelor’s degree from Ha Noi University of Technology, Vietnam and her master’s degree in energy technology at the Asia Institute of Technology – Bangkok, Thailand.

Rex Anderson

Sustainability Manager; Winston-Salem Office

Rex Anderson leads the organization’s Product pillar, focusing on global fibre tracking, packaging conversions, and traceability efforts. He also helps oversee the global zero waste to landfill program and scope 3 emissions reporting. Rex holds an MBA and Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management and Finance from Syracuse University.

Elnaz Ashayeri

Sustainability Lead – Australasia; Melbourne Office

Elnaz Ashayeri joined HBI Australasia in 2018 and leads the Planet pillar of our sustainability program and ethical sourcing compliance in the Australasia region. She is responsible for overseeing regional energy, environmental, waste and retail sustainability projects, along with modern slavery compliance, and collaborates closely with the global sustainability team in achieving our shared objectives. Elnaz holds a Master of Technology in Textiles from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University.

Mariela Moronta

Manager, Global Sustainability Reporting; Dominican Republic Office

Mariela Moronta leads our sustainability program in Latin America and oversees sustainability reporting efforts at a global level. Since joining HBI in 2016, she has supported the Global Standards for Suppliers (GSS), Global Process Sustainability (GPS), and Global Ethics and Compliance (GEC) programs. Mariela has been instrumental in driving our community impact and sustainability programs in the Dominican Republic. She holds a civil engineering degree from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and a master’s degree in international project management from Isabel I University in Spain.

Mario Ayala

Sustainability Analyst; El Salvador Office

As a Sustainability Analyst, Mario supports global sustainability initiatives with a focus on environmental, health and safety (EHS), and zero waste to landfill programs. He is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting key sustainability metrics, and collaborates closely with global teams to advance our sustainability goals. Mario holds a degree in computer science engineering from Universidad Don Bosco (UDB) in El Salvador. 

Phan Nhat Hoang

Assistant Manager – Data Management; Vietnam Office

Joining HBI in 2021, as part of his data management role, Phan Hoang oversees the organization’s Planet and Product pillars data management, focusing on Higg FEM engagement, global energy and emissions reporting, and cotton fibre traceability. Hoang holds an electronics and telecommunications engineering degree from Hanoi University of Technology in Vietnam. 

Zoe Styles

Sustainability Analyst – Australasia; Melbourne Office

As Sustainability Analyst, Zoe supports sustainability initiatives across the People, Planet and Product pillars in the Australasia region. She is responsible for the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of key ESG data and driving continuous improvement. Zoe holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, majoring in Environmental Management and Sustainability, from Deakin University.

Stephanie Nicdao

Sustainability Lead – Australasia; Melbourne Office

Stephanie Nicdao leads the Product pillar of HBI Australasia’s sustainability program. Joining the team in 2025 with a background in responsible sourcing, circularity and traceability, she oversees regional product and packaging sustainability, circularity and compliance. Stephanie holds an associate degree in Fashion and Textiles Merchandising and a Bachelor of International Studies from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University.
