Our People Promise
Caring for people is who we are today and who we’ve been for over 100 years.
We started small. Just a single mill in North Carolina, but we had big ambitions. Now, more than a century later, we’re global across more than 30 countries and 50,000+ associates, designing, making and marketing our clothes. But people are still the center of our company.
Not just the people we serve, but the people we are. Every member of our associate community is supported, encouraged and empowered. From providing safe, rewarding jobs with competitive wages and benefits to valuing and celebrating our diversity – it’s all about being the kind of company where people genuinely come first and there are opportunities for all.
And doing what’s right. We set high ethical standards both for us and the people we work with. Through large-scale community support programs, we’re able to give back to the communities behind our business. And we set the goal to contribute to improving the lives of at least ten million people by 2030. It’s a tall order, but we’re going to do it. And we’re making great progress already.

Key Priorities for Us
To realize our aspirations, we plan to:
- Significantly grow initiatives that focus on the health, wellness and education of our associates and our global communities. We have accomplished much already.
- Increase philanthropic support that enables our brands to champion meaningful causes and efforts worldwide in the themes of comfort, inclusion and health.
- Grow our unique Green for Good program to boost funding for community projects.
- Continue to expand internal training and awareness programs to support all areas of diversity, as we build upon an inclusion-focused strategy spearheaded by our leadership teams.
- Continue to drive global programs that support and measure associate volunteer activities within our communities.
- Continue to provide our product in large-scale to those most in need.
