HanesBrands has been acquired by Gildan. We're excited about this new chapter and the opportunities it brings.

The information, goals and targets presented on hbisustains.com, including any public filings, statements, or press releases, were prepared prior to the acquisition of HanesBrands by Gildan, which closed on December 1, 2025. Such information, goals, and targets may be modified and reconsidered by Gildan in light of the acquisition.

How does a company doing business in over 30 countries on six continents managee a global sustainability effort and drive results? It’s not easy, but HanesBrands has developed a unique structure for doing so called the Global Sustainability Consortium.

Sponsored by members of our executive leadership team and led by our Chief Sustainability Officer, the GSC includes over 50 members of our global workforce, representing functions including supply chain, sales and marketing, product design and development, human resources, corporate responsibility, communications, finance, and others. The GSC is tasked with sharing best practices, driving and executing against our global sustainability goals and reporting on progress. The GSC meets quarterly.

HanesBrands recognizes that it must do more to advance sustainability for ourselves and society, and that means organizing differently. We will not achieve our ambitious goals unless we align the entire organization behind them, from the Board of Directors and senior leadership on down. To tackle such issues as eliminating single-use plastics and significantly reducing overall packaging weight, we’re putting all our global development and procurement resources behind the effort. We’re in it for the long haul, doing what’s right and necessary to advance a cleaner, safer future.
