HBI and MD Industries Make Lasting Impact on Lives in Haiti
May 2025
More than 2,700 people in Haiti received free medical care during HBI’s health fair with partner MD Industries.
At HBI, comfort goes beyond clothing. Through philanthropic efforts, disaster relief, and health initiatives that change lives, our comfort extends further.
We partnered with MD Industries, a group that operates apparel production and is one of our suppliers, to host our fifth health fair, located at their facility in Ouanaminthe, Haiti, and provide free care for the center’s associates and their families.
With the support of 50 doctors and 10 nurses from Haiti and the Dominican Republic, the fair offered general medical consultations to more than 2,700 people – both adults and children – and distributed medication based on patient needs.
“At HBI, our dedication to our people extends to our business partners. That’s why we are pleased to have allies like MD Industries, who share our vision of developing best practices to benefit communities,” Aldrin Hernández, Director of Operations – HBI DR, said.
Over the last two decades, we’ve worked with MD Industries to support the communities near the Haitian and Dominican border by promoting quality employment and holistic wellness.
“Perseverance, innovation, and the commitment of each of us are the key to our vision. We must work with responsibility and commitment and inspire others through our efforts,” said Fernando Capellán, President of MD Industries.
