TEGUCIGALPA, (September 19, 2019) .- Closing a cycle of 75,000 hours of volunteer work, HanesBrands Honduras celebrated, together with its collaborators, obtaining for the ninth consecutive year the seal of the Honduran Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility, FUNDAHRSE.

Between 2014 and 2019, thousands of collaborators have joined HanesBrands‘ social commitment by being an active part of the comprehensive education, health and environmental programs that the company develops in different communities of Villanueva and Choloma, locations where its manufacturing plants and sewing in this country.

Together with Glasswing International, Hanes has been implementing for six years an educational program aimed at young people in these cities made up of Extracurricular Educational Clubs made available to the community free of charge and with which thousands of children have benefited. In addition, preventive maintenance, remodeling and decoration of play areas are offered in the four educational centers where they operate.

“At Hanes we are convinced that education generates changes that transcend the private sphere and positively impact the social and community environment,” said Alejandro Caldera, Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility at Hanes in Honduras.
